Join us for the first CAFTA Awards!

Conway Alliance for the Arts (CAFTA) will present the first Annual Conway
Community Awards celebration and reception this Friday, April 19, to be held in the Trieschmann
Fine Arts Building on the Hendrix College Campus. The awards, designed to recognize contributions to the Arts in Conway, will be given for Outstanding Arts Educator; Outstanding Student Achievement; Outstanding Individual Arts Achievement; and a special Mayor’s Award for Community Advocate for the Arts and the Faulkner County Library Lifetime Achievement Award. The event will begin with a wine and hors d’oeuvre reception at the Trieschmann Fine Arts Building at Hendrix at 4:30 p.m., followed by the awards ceremony at 5:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend and there is a suggested donation of $10.00 for adults.

Lifetime Achievement Award:
This award is selected by CAFTA Board & the Mayor’s office Funds raised through this event provide core unrestricted support for CAFTA programs, such as ArtsFest and support for public art projects like the Community Mural Project. These programs also serve artists, arts organizations and businesses, as well as the general public. The value of arts and culture enriches lives and the economy of the Conway area.

CAFTA is a private, nonprofit agency designated as the City of Conway’s official arts agency. The CAFTA works in partnership with the city, community groups, local, state and national governmental agencies, and other nonprofit arts organizations and businesses to meet the arts and cultural needs of the Conway region through a diversity of initiatives and services.

Following the awards, attendees are invited to dinner at Michelangelo’s and will receive CAFTA Awards Dinner Discount.
